February 25, 2010JACKSONVILLE - Erma Marie Auer, 97, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Friday at Calvary Lutheran Church on Pine Valley Road with Rev. Paul Sundbom officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at the Beech-Woods Cemetery in New Rochelle, NY.
"Aunt Erma", beloved grandmother, loved one and friend. To know her was to love her. As an avid, diehard Tarheel fan she looked forward to every game (even this year). Erma lived by her faith in God and was an active and faithful member of Calvary Lutheran Church for many years. Her church family meant the world to her. Erma loved life. She loved her flowers; she enjoyed the birds and squirrels feeding outside her kitchen window. Her baking (the cheesecake, "frogeye" salad and cranberry relish) was great and she loved sharing it.
