June 08, 1941 - July 11, 2010RICHLANDS - Ellen Marie Anderson Williams, 69, of Richlands, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel with Rev. Jerry Michael Jarman and Rev. Billy Futrell officiating. Burial will follow at the Brinson Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was well known for her love of her family and her awesome cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tobe and Lula Koonce Anderson; and four sisters, Elizabeth Pierce, Mary Anderson, Lula Mae Williams and Gladys Williams.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Lee Robert Williams of the home; two sons, Lee Robert Williams, Jr and his wife, Olie of Richlands, Christopher Williams and his wife, Pansey of Jacksonville; three daughters, Sandra Miller and her husband, Michael of Maple Hill, Sharon Vavla and her husband, Allen of Richlands, Rhonda Collins and her partner, Roger Simmons of Jacksonville; three brothers, Obie Anderson and Rudolph Anderson, both of Greenville and Clifton Anderson of FL; one sister, Dorothy Hudspeth of MS; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to all who volunteered and contributed to a benefit on her behalf.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral home.
