Dixie Ferrell
April 01, 1944 - July 18, 2010MAYSVILLE - Dixie Cannon Ferrell, 66, of Maysville, died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday at Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Maysville with Rev. Bryan Lassiter and Rev. Greg Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Pollocksville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Ferrell was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Ferrell; her parents, Levi and Pearl Lockey Cannon; her brothers, Don and Jimmy Cannon; and her nephews, Dean Cannon and Bruce Cannon.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah and her husband, Jerry Ashley of New Bern and Betsy and her husband, Greg Dickerson of Belgrade; one son, R. Wayne Ferrell of Belgrade; her grandchildren, Andrew and Guler Ashley of Charlotte, Eron Ferrell of Jacksonville and Samuel Ferrell of Jacksonville; two brothers, Billy Cannon of Kinston and Bobby Cannon of Maysville, her sisters Wanda DiVincenzo of Hubert and Jean Jenkins of Trenton and her same as sisters, Jean Ferrell of Pollocksville and Judy Cannon of Maysville; and six furry grand-animals of Belgrade and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville and all other times at 79 8th Street, Maysville.
