Lynn Williams Glidden
February 25, 2010Lynn Williams Glidden, 71, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on February 25, 2010 at the Anne and Donald McGraw Center for Caring.
Lynn was born May 27, 1938 in Wilmington, NC. She is predeceased by her parents Frank and Selisece Bell Williams and her sister Connie W. Tuxworth of Charleston, SC. Surviving are two sisters, Joyce Engiman and husband, Ralph, of King, NC, and Nancy Henderson and husband, Bill of Wilmington, NC, her son WJ Glidden, beloved daughter-in-law, Karla Q. Glidden, and her much loved granddaughters, Bailey and Addison Glidden of Jacksonville, FL.
Lynn was an elementary school teacher for over thirty-five years in Winslow, ME, and in Jacksonville, FL. She was loved by her many students.
The family wishes to thank Lynn’s friends from Maine and Florida for their loving thoughts and prayers during her illness.
A memorial service will be held in Wilmington, NC, in the summer. The family requests any donations made in Lynn’s memory be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401; or www.hospiceandlifecarecenter.org.
