Hubert- Robert “Bob” Alfred Perez, 57, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. He was born on July 8, 1961 in Philadelphia, PA son of Samuel and Loretta Lackner Perez.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Robert was a hardworking and loving husband, father, mentor, and Poppy who enjoyed spending time with his family. He grew up in Philadelphia and New Jersey, spent some wonderful years in Arizona, and settled down in North Carolina to watch his granddaughters grow up. An expert fisherman and could build any and everything. Bob loved his projects, and working in his shop with Jon and Dom. Bob played many instruments and believed music was the only reason Aliens have left us alone. A Die-Hard Cowboys fan who loved his Sunday Fundays. Sick days were nonexistent for Bob, he worked extremely hard for his family. Bob married Barbara in 1984 and they were the best of friends, “Frick and Frack”. Bob was a natural teacher, from life lessons to carpentry, he taught everyone around him something. Family time was the most important thing to him in the world. Bob was taken from us too soon, God must have needed an addition built in Heaven. Famous Quotes from the Best Father in the World include: “Always give 100%”, “Everyone should do what they do best”, “All you need is and opportunity”, If you expect the worst from people you will never be disappointed”, “You must continue to manifest”, and “Life is for the living”.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Reynolds Perez; daughter, Jessica Payton and her husband Jonathan of Hubert; son, Dominic Perez of Hubert; granddaughters, Scarlet and Brooke Payton; father, Samuel Perez of NJ; sister, Jennifer Nevins of NJ; and brother, Matthew Perez of NJ.
