HUBERT  -  Akemi Tamaki Hazy, 72, of Hubert, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at her home, with her husband by her side.  A PRIVATE Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Hazy was born September 24, 1951 in Okinawa, Japan, to  Moriji Tamaki and Yoshiko Chinen.

She was a gifted seamstress and loved to make beautiful things. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. A devoted daughter of Christ, she was active with both her local church and Japanese ministry.

Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey Hazy of the home; sons, Wyatt Hazy (Kathleen) of Orlando, Fl and Scott Hazy (Shelley) of Hampton, Va; grandchildren, Alexandra, Jacob, Tara, Shepherd, and Henry; mother, Yoshiko Chinen of Okinawa; brother, Moriaki Tamaki of Okinawa; and sisters, Mineko Takematsu and Asami Hamamoto both of Okinawa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Japanese Ministry, 2734 Commerce Road, Jacksonville, NC 28546.
