Alfred Donal “AL” Hall, 68 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at SECU Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport, NC. Al retired with the USMC (GySgt) after 21 years of service. He enjoyed riding his bike, golfing, and an active church member at Brookwood Baptist. Al is preceded by his parents; Dillard Hall and Myrtle Bennett Hall.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 1:00 pm from Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Reverend Ryan Hearn officiating. Burial with Military Honors to follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Al was born in Eden, NC on July 28,1957. He graduated from Morehead High school in 1975 and joined the United States Marine Corps on November 20,1975. Al married Hilda on May 20,1978; they just celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary.

Al is survived by his wife, Hilda Hall of Jacksonville, NC; his sister, Lynn (Barry) Smith of Stoneville, NC; his daughter, Tanya (Tim) Heald of Jacksonville, NC; his daughter, Monica (Anthony) Nilson of Swansboro, NC; his son, Arthur (Kim) Hall of Jacksonville, NC; and his daughter, Alice (Chad) Chesser of Winder, GA; 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and other family/ friends.
