Allison “AB” Hocutt, 85 passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Premier Nursing Center in Jacksonville. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM at East Duplin Memorial Gardens in Beulaville, NC.

Mr. Hocutt was preceded in death by his parents, Garthan Reginald Hocutt and Genobes Creech Hocutt; his daughter, Dixie Gail Hocutt;and his sister, Menda Hocutt Smith (Marshall).

AB loved to go fishing, work in his garden, building or modifying things to make them work. He was truly an outdoors man that like to get his hands dirty.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Turner Hocutt of the home; his stepdaughter, Connie Meeker (Billy) of Richlands; his brother, Roger Keith Hocutt (Merry) and their daughter, Marian of Goldsboro; his nieces, Michelle Smith (BJ), Amy Hayden (Jason); two step grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.
