JACKSONVILLE  -  Almagay Christine Kaowili Gibson, 73, of Jacksonville, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, at her home. Mrs Gibson was a retired Fast-Food Manager. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Bluebell Malama Kaowili; and siblings, David, Daveen, Daveana, Memory and Amber.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.  The celebration will continue at her home, 435 Hunting Green Drive, Jacksonville, NC 28546.

Survivors for Mrs Gibson are her daughters Lorena-Leinaala (Tim) and Alysia Sanders, Stepdaughters Shannon Gibson and Takeya Sephes. Brother Godfrey with Sisters Robin Kaowili and Corrine Hill.

Alma leaves behind her grandchildren Reginald Thompson Jr., Michael Maurice McKnight, Kiana Davis and Trisha (Lewis) Hampton. A slew of Nieces and Nephews. A Host of Great Grand Children.

Alma was adored by many as a mother, Sister, Grand Mother and Friend. She also took great pride in caring for Chayla Brooks (Baby Girl) for many years.

She was Co/Owner and Operator to Wiki Wiki Dawgs something she took great pride in. Alma was always seen cheering on her husband in his many tournaments and endeavors. Her voice and smiles will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
