Jacksonville - Alva Rogers Marshburn, Sr., 81, of Jacksonville, North Carolina passed away on August 31, 2025, at Kempton in Jacksonville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.

Rogers is survived by his sons, Alva Rogers Marshburn, Jr. "Rusty" (Jennifer) of Holly Ridge and Matthew Case Marshburn (Michelle) of Richlands, NC; grandchildren, Austin Rogers Marshburn (Carli), Case Oneal Marshburn (Lacey) and Brooklyn Rayne Marshburn (Andrew); and great-grandchildren, Bodhi Rogers Marshburn and Ford Collins Rogers Barbour.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
