Amy Shepard Knight

April 13, 1973 – March 6, 2026

Amy Shepard Knight, 52, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026. She is the daughter of the late Edward Shepard and Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Shepard.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 12:00pm at Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service, beginning at 11:00am.

Officiating the service will be pastor Drew Parker.

Amy was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend whose beautiful smile and bright blue eyes could brighten any room. Amy loved her children, her family, and the friends who filled her life with love.  Nothing meant more to her than those she called family.  Her children were her greatest pride, and she loved them with all of her being.  She held a special place in her heart for all her nieces and nephews, and she loved each of them dearly.

Amy had a kind heart, always standing up for those who needed someone in their corner and she always had a soft spot for animals, she loved her little and big dogs Winnie, Boogie, and Ace who brought her so much comfort.  She never took for granted the simple things, like a beautiful sunset, quiet country living or peaceful outdoors.  In recent years she enjoyed painting rocks for her rock garden and making small crafts and trinkets to share with her family and friends.

We will always be thankful for the years she was here with us. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and remembered for her kindness and the way she welcomed people from all walks of life.

Amy is survived by her children, Hannah Knight and Clay Knight and their father, Neal Knight, siblings, April Fisher (Mark), and Janie Marshburn (Scott). Her nieces and nephews, Shay Marshburn, Colby Marshburn (Karla), Bailey Fisher, Emma Marshburn, Sam Fisher, Jace Fisher, and great nephew Miles Marshburn.
