Ann Avery McLellan, born on May 25, 1934, succumbed to a long battle with cancer on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at her home in Jacksonville, NC. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Hardin.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Northeast Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 1650 Piney Green Road, Jacksonville, NC 28546.

She is survived by her former husband and caretaker, Thomas McLellan, of the home. She is survived by her children, Benjamin Hardin, Hilda Rumple-Hall, and Catherine Smith.
