Swansboro- Annie Ruth Ward Stanley, 83, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at Carteret Healthcare in Morehead City.  She was born February 15, 1938 a daughter to the late, Lester and Courtney Holiday Ward.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Annie was a loving and supportive wife and mother and her and her husband were long distant truck drivers who took pride in their truck and what they were hired to haul.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Douglas Stanley of the home; daughter, Sandra Stanley Powell (Ron) of Bogue; son, Steven Douglas Stanley (Jayme Kantor) of Annapolis, MD; and eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren,

She was preceded in death by a son Robert Alan Stanley and three sisters and two brothers.
