HAMPSTEAD - Arnold Louis Padgett, 67, of Hampstead, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday at Haws Run Primitive Baptist Church with Elders David Brooks and Tony Parker officiating. Burial will follow at the Padgett Family Cemetery.
Mr. Padgett was a veteran of the US Army, a retired firefighter aboard Camp Lejeune and was an elder with the Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Pamala White Padgett of the home; his daughter, Deanna Alpha Gazaway of Hampstead; his son, Nicholas Louis Padgett of Hampstead; his mother, Pauline Parker Padgett of Holly Ridge; sister, Wanda Gray of Holly Ridge; brother, Larry Padgett of Holly Ridge; and three grandchildren, Stephen Ronald Gazaway, Andrew Arnold Gazaway and Elizabeth Loretta Gazaway.
