In Loving Memory of - Austin Michael Hukill

Hubert - Austin Michael Hukill, 24, of Hubert, North Carolina, passed away on August 15, 2026, at his residence. Memorial services with military honors will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.

Austin was born on May 23, 2002, in Merced, California. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Amanda Lee.

Austin proudly served his country as a United States Marine and worked as a mechanic. He carried the pride of being a Marine with him wherever he went.

Before becoming a Marine, Austin was known as Number 12, the high school quarterback. Some of his most memorable moments on the field came alongside his brother, Dylan-the unforgettable "Hukill to Hukill connection." He loved football, basketball, baseball, and softball.

Austin was truly the life of the party. He loved to joke, laugh, have fun, and make everyone around him smile. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, and the freedom of the open road. He often called himself a "lone wolf," always doing things his own way.

He is survived by his brother, Dylan Hukill; his parents, Eric and Anasylvia "Ana" Rosel; his grandmother, Barbara Boles; his father, Charles Hukill; his half-brother, Keith; and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Austin lived life with a big personality and left behind memories that will never fade. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, fellow Marines, and everyone fortunate enough to have known and loved him. He will be missed by many.
