Barrie Michael Grubbs, age 62, died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Santa Rosa County Florida. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and worked at Boeing for twenty years.

Barrie loved his family, friends, and animals. He was a man of God and strong in faith, as well as a member of Upward Church in Pensacola. He loved the outdoors as they brought him peace.

Barrie is survived by his wife and life partner Donna Marie Grubbs; his father Ronnie Lee Grubbs (Laurie); son Barry Michael Grubbs; stepsons Bradl Lee Cox, Jessie Neal Cox (Tabbitha); his grandchildren, Riley Jane, Jessie Jr, Bradlee, Blake, Brent, and Brayden.

Barrie was proceeded in death by his mother Lorraine Kidwell Grubbs.

Barrie was many things to many people. He was a great son, father, grandfather, loving husband, dedicated employee, proud veteran and fellow brother to his beloved Marines. He was the best he could be to us all daily. He calls New River Air Station Home.

There will be a visitation at the Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville NC on December 6th from 6 to 8 PM.

A service will be held on December 7th at 11 AM, officiated by Pastor Robert Williams at MCAS New River. There will be a celebration of life reception following the services at the Marina Café.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Tunnel 2 Towers.
