Jacksonville- Betty Jean Hewitt Giles, 78 of Jacksonville died Sunday January 31, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

Services will be private.

Betty is preceded in death by her father, Ralph B. Heath Jr.; mother, E. M. Coombs; and son, Eric Nathan Jones.

Betty is survived by her children, Michael Stuart Jones, Keven Anthony Jones, and Karen Elizabeth Jones; grandchildren, Zachary Jones, Kolby Jones, and Mackenzi Jones; and great-granddaughter, Madison Jones.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Betty's name.
