JACKSONVILLE  -  William F. "Bill" Merriman, 71, of Jacksonville, died Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.  Services will be held privately.

Mr. Merriman honorably served in the United States Marine Corps.  He was a son of the late Francis Minner, Sr. and Barbara Ann Merriman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Debra; and one brother, Joe.

Survivors include three children, Ben Merriman of Jacksonville and Bill and David Merriman, both of PA; four grandchildren; one sister, Beverly of CO; and brother, Tommy of FL.
