Holly Ridge- Billie McGirt Everett Coston, 89, passed away Wednesday, January 15,2025 at Onslow Memorial Hospital. She was born, February 5,1935, a daughter of the late R. D. and Delphia Bain Everett.

A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 1,2025 at 11:00 AM at Jones Funeral Home-Holly Ridge with Reverend Ed Dowd officiating.

Billie was devoted to her family and friends. For those who knew her knew she had extraordinary life skills and amazing talents. To name a few, Billie was a master gardener, a woodcrafter, and an amazing cook. She also had a love for crocheting and sewing. It brought her so much joy to gift things she made to her family and friends. Billie was loved by everyone she met and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by son, Dean Coston (Teresa) of Hampstead; daughter, Jo Ann Odum (Wayne) of Holly Ridge; grandchildren, Jennifer Odum, Amanda Rose (Joseph), Candace Griffin (Steven), and Tara Hall (Samuel); great grandchildren, Brayden, Rowan, Kaylee, and Caleb; sister, Doris Schindewolf of Ohio; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Coston, one brother, and three sisters.

The family would like to thank Jeanette, Diana, Janet, and Lisa for their unwavering care of our sweet Billie. Also thank you to the nurses and staff at Onslow Memorial Hospital and Liberty Hospice for their compassionate care.
