JACKSONVILLE  -  Billy Gene Costley Jr. of Jacksonville, NC passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on January 19, 1958, in Fulton Georgia, Billy dedicated his life to his wife and 3 children.

As a proud retired Marine, Billy served with honor and commitment and dedication to his family and his country.

In his retirement, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time with his loved ones, especially the moments he had with his grandchildren, playing guitar, and fishing.His warm presence, sense of humor, his kind heartedness and love for music and singing will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a proud father, husband , and grandfather but first of all a Marine.
Mr. Billy Costley lived an amazing life filling peoples hearts with joy and love everywhere he went. He will be missed by many and we know he is in a better place and smiling down on us making sure we keep going and spreading the same love and joy to others the way he did. He would tell us to keep going and move forward and to stay strong. With love in memory of Billy Gene Costley Jr..

Billy is survived by his loving wife, Emiko Costley; his three sons, Joshua, Chris, and Daniel Costley; and his three cherished grandchildren. His legacy of love and devotion will live on through them.

Funeral services to honor Billy's life will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.  Burial, with military honors, will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends Wednesday morning, prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life of a man who meant so much to so many.
