Bobby Ray
Edgmon
July 10, 1938 – June 5, 2025
Dear friends and family, I have planted a beautiful yellow rose in my "Garden of Remembrance" of Bobby tucked safely in my heart. I hope you might do likewise.
We come together this day in remembrance of Bobby Ray Edgmon to show honor and respect to a dear son…a brother…a husband…a loving father and a dear friend to many. Bobby will truly be missed by all those that truly knew Bobby's heart…He would give you the shirt off his back in a winter snowstorm if he felt you needed it. Bobby was a Christian man who shared what he had with others in need… He was a patriot…A naval officer who served his country with honor and dedication…A man who would never let political correction guide his judgement in the decisions he had to make. Bobby was a man of courage and principle…Bobby was a man who had three great loves…A man who loved God, his family and country foremost…A man who put God above all others even when family or country strayed from the way he stayed on the pathway. Bobby served with honor in the navy for around 33 years…He served in Desert Storm and had to bear seeing the gruesome deaths of so many both friend and foes alike. Bobby loved deeply the family he was born into…his father, his mother and two brothers. The deaths of his father…his mother and his older brother grieved him in his heart and soul until the day he past from this life.
There wasn't a time when Bobby and I would talk with one another that he didn't bring up how he missed them. He would start reminiscing about the good times long past when it was just Dad, Mom, Dad, Bob and me growing up. He would cry a little and laugh a little as memories of the past came and went and then after about 20 minutes he would change the subject. Those times always touch my heart…and still do.
Like all of us, Bobby had his shortcomings, but he was still a good man with a good heart and with good intentions. We often kidded each other on who had the least warts. He would say he did, and I would say I did. But if the truth was known both of us had our share of warts…Yes! Bobby will be missed by all those that loved him and respected him…My heart will always yearn to hear his voice once again laughing…
Bobby was born in Gladewater, Texas on July 10th, 1938, to Thomas James Edgmon and Betty Sara Edgmon.
He was the third son born to them…Bobby past from this life on June the 5th, 2025, with his sweet faithful loving daughter beside him and watching over him as he passed from this life to the next. How blessed Bobby was to have his faithful daughter, Jennifer by his side as he stepped beyond the veil of time into the beautiful land of dreams and into presence of our Lord and Master…
The family members that preceded Bobby in death was…His father Thomas James Edgmon…His mother Betty Sara Edgmon…His older brother Danny G. Edmon. Bobby is survived by his beloved wife Ellen Edgmon…His three children, His daughter Jennifer Edgmon and her son Gavin…His brother Jim L. Edgmon,
His son Robert Edgmon living somewhere in the state of California and his other daughter Kim Marshall living in Gilman City, Missouri, along with Bobby's other two grandchildren…
Rest in peace Bobby until we all meet again in the great beyond, where our Lord has prepared a place for his children.
