Jacksonville - Bonita "Bonnie" Kay Conley Bobo, 86 passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026. The family will receive friends at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. A private service will be held at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery and burial will be with her husband.

She was a homemaker and Floral designer, retired from April Shower's Florist.

She was born in rural Pennsylvania on Mother's Day 1940 to a hard working coal miner and his wife. She was number 8 of 11 children. Bonnie always remembered her humble beginnings and taught her family to respect and help others as she did.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Archie "Gary" Bobo, her parents; Ralph Conley and Laura Burdett Conley and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children; Laura Feldhaus of Jacksonville, Darla Guenthner (Patrick) of Virginia Beach, Va. and John S. Bobo of Wilmington. Grandchildren; Mary Feldhaus of San Francisco, Ca., Joshua Feldhaus of Hubert, Rhett Guenthner of Los Angeles, Ca. and Molly Guenther of Virginia Beach, Va.


In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to two organizations close to her heart. Onslow County Senior Center, 4955 Richlands Hwy., Jacksonville, NC 28540, where she volunteered many years teaching arts and crafts. Or Onslow Women's Shelter 403 N.Bayshore Blvd., Jacksonville, NC 28540 , where she was a strong supporter and helped fulfill their needs.
