Brenda Lane Castle Good, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. Brenda is preceded in death by her parents: James and Lessie Welch Castle.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles "Chuck" Good of the home; her son Kevin Good (Arlene) of Wake Forest and his children: Cameron Good (Nathan Lewis) of Raleigh and Alex Good of Charlotte; and her son Spencer Good (Krystal) and their son: Bodey Good of Raleigh.

Brenda grew up in Roxboro, North Carolina and attended Roxboro High School. She went to college at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill studying dental assistantship, and was always an avid Tarheel fan. Brenda married the love of her life, Charles, on July 10th, 1965. She worked as a Tax Preparer and progressed to Office Manager at H&R Block for many years. She ultimately retired from the New Bern National Cemetery as Office Manager after working for about fifteen years.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville at 2:00 pm with Reverend Charles McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service.
