Brenda Marshall Miller, born August 17, 1951, in Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away on August 19, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. She was the daughter of Polly and Ray Marshall of Maysville, North Carolina, and sister to Richard Marshall and Wanda Weatherly.

Brenda dedicated 25 years to caring for others at Onslow Memorial Hospital before retiring. She was also a lifelong member of Grants Creek Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for decades. Generations of children knew and loved “Miss Brenda.”

She loved her extended family as her own, and her cousins, nieces, and nephews always knew they could count on “Aunt B.”

Above all, Brenda cherished her children, Amy Quinn and Mallory Miller, and her grandchildren, Christian Quinn, Lauren Miller, Camden Miller, Addien Quinn and Benjamin Quinn, who lovingly called her Nana.

Brenda will be remembered for her unwavering faith, generous heart, joyful spirit, and fierce love for her family. And those who knew her best will never forget her favorite simple pleasure: a large McDonald’s Diet Coke with extra ice.

Her love, laughter, and one-of-a-kind spirit will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Grants Creek Baptist Church in Maysville, North Carolina.
