SWANSBORO  -  Bruce Edward Hill, Jr., 80, of Swansboro, passed away, Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home, Swansboro Chapel with Rev. Virgil "Butch" Huffman officiating.

Mr. Hill was born March 17,1944, in Kinston, NC, to the late Bruce Hill, Sr. and Layune Barwick Hill.

He served his country in the US Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. To know him was to love him; he exuded humor and kindness to everyone he met. He loved to saltwater fish, keep his flowers pretty, and to grow his garden.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Linda Johnson Hill of the home; daughter, Barbara Hill of Cedar Point; and granddaughter, Margot' Williams of Swansboro.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
