Bryan Joseph Bullock, a devoted father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the age of 42. To those who knew and loved him, Bryan was a steady and warm presence whose impact reached far beyond any single role he held. His loss is deeply felt by the family, friends, and community whose lives were made fuller and happier simply by knowing him.

Born on October 17, 1983, Bryan lived with a passionate commitment to strength, health, and overall well-being, not only in his own life, but also in the lives of those around him. His sheer presence could command the attention of any room he entered, yet Bryan always carried himself with a quiet humility that complemented his natural confidence. His strength was unmistakable, but it was never something he needed to announce or display; rather, it was simply part of who he was.

Above all else, Bryan was a devoted, loving, and caring father to his daughter, Brooklyn, age nine, who was the absolute center of his world and whom he loved beyond measure. His pride in her, his devotion to her, and the joy and meaning she brought into his life were evident to everyone who knew him.

An entrepreneur by nature, Bryan owned and managed Solace Strength and Social Club in New York, where his work reflected much of what he valued most: physical strength, personal growth, community, and human connection. For Bryan, health and fitness were never simply about exercise. They were part of a larger commitment to empowerment, living well, and helping others become stronger, healthier, and more confident in themselves. He strove to create an environment where people could challenge themselves while also finding camaraderie, encouragement, and a sense of belonging, where becoming stronger meant becoming part of something larger than oneself.

In life, Bryan was the kind of best friend a man could ask for. His straightforward approach to life, his humor and infectious laugh, his sharp wit and quick mind, his completely nonjudgmental nature, and the genuine care and concern he showed for the people he loved all spoke to the kind of man he was. Beneath it all was a profound humility. To those fortunate enough to know him closely, Bryan was more than a friend—he was a brother.

Bryan is survived by his daughter, Brooklyn Bullock, of Wilmington, North Carolina, and her mother, Jennifer Frankel; his parents, David and Theresa Bullock, of Swansboro, North Carolina; his sister, Jennifer Ray-Ferucci, of Jacksonville, North Carolina; his aunt, Betty Bullock, of Jacksonville, North Carolina; his aunt and uncle, Pat and Ronald Butler, of Jacksonville, North Carolina; his aunt, Patsy Cline, of New Bern, North Carolina; and his cousins, Ryan Justice, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Eric Cline, of El Paso, Texas. He is also survived by three of his closest friends: Cody Parker, of Morgantown, West Virginia; Jennifer Enger, of Southbury, Connecticut; and Carston Allen, of Wilmington, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Lille Bullock; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Hiroko (“Cookie”) Conner; and his aunt Judy Bullock.
