Emerald Isle- Capt. George Vincent Wilson, 65, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026. He was born October 10, 1960, in Philadelphia, PA, a son to the late George and Lorraine Stein Wilson.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Emerald Isle Baptist Church with Pastor Zach Emory officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Capt. George Wilson was a lifelong Mariner and Tugboat Captain for Wilmington Tug, with a career that took him across the Bering sea, Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Chesapeake Bay, Delaware Bay, and Delaware River. He loved spending time on and around the water, but his greatest joy was sharing that love with his family through fishing, boating, shrimping, and crabbing. He was happiest with his family nearby and the water in sight.

Beloved husband of Nancy Huster, loving father of Marion Wilson (Chris Kavanaugh) of Emerald Isle, Tesse Norwood (Brandyn) of Emerald Isle, and Chelsea Loa (Dan) of Tennessee, and Stepfather of Greg Zinni (Andrea). Also sadly missed by his grandchildren Alyssa, Brianna, Cannon, Jack, Grady, Corinne, and Chase and greatgrandchild, Everett. George is the brother of Marion McNulty (Thomas) and “Pup” Wilson (Delia) and the late James Wilson. Uncle to Kim, Jamie, Stephanie, Thomas, Stephen and Tommy.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Emerald Isle Baptist Church, Youth Department, 304 Emerald Plantation Rd, Emerald Isle, NC 28594.
