SWANSBORO  -  Captain Joe C. Conrad, 76, of Swansboro,  passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home, Swansboro Chapel with Rev. Jodi Jackson-Tucker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Conrad was born October 26,1948 in Winston Salem, NC to the late Charles and Rosa Fishel Conrad.

He faithfully served his country in the US AirForce and then began a career as a commercial airline pilot with Piedmont Airlines. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Sandra Brownlee Conrad of the home; children, Joe "Jay" Conrad of Wilkesboro, Katherine Riddle of Morrisville, and Kyle Riddle (Pamela) of North Port, FL; grandchildren, Skye Conrad, Levi Conrad, Mishka Conrad, Harper Riddle, and Zachary Riddle; and brothers, Timothy Conrad of Winston Salem and Chris Conrad of Indialantic, FL.
