JACKSONVILLE - Carl "Tony" Anthony Gwynn, 52 of Jacksonville, died Monday April 18, 2011 at Onslow Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Mr. Gwynn graduated from Stamford High School in Stamford, CT and served in the USMC.

He is survived by his mother, Irene Gwynn of Stamford, CT; brother, Marvin Gwynn and his wife, Genelle of Norwalk, CT; two sisters, Debra Gwynn of Norwalk, CT; Nancy Gwynn of Stamford, CT; lifelong companion, Adel Brooks of Jacksonville; three step-daughters, Melodee Curtis of Jacksonville; Rachel Brooks of GA; Kamila Brooks of NY; step son, Kent Curtis of Jacksonville; step granddaughter, Kyasia Curtis of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday morning, prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
