Obituary

Swansboro- Charles Clayton "Charlie" Bane, 83, fell asleep in death on October 30,2024 in Swansboro, North Carolina. Born on May 21,1941, in Bluefield, Virginia, Charlie lived a life exemplifying the virtues of humility, kindness, and unwavering faith.

A graduate of Lynchburg High School, Charlie's vocational journey as a regional sales manager for PPG was marked by distinction and a tireless work ethic, earning him numerous accolades. Yet, what truly defined him was his love of Jehovah God and Jesus Christ. For over 60 years, Charlie devoted himself to the congregation at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, shepherding the flock with love, wisdom, and a servant's heart.

Charlie loved all creation. His humor was ever-present, and his commitment to serve- both in secular work and volunteer ministry- reflected the giving nature of his spirit. He also enjoyed fishing, running and weightlifting.

Blessed with over six decades of marriage, Charlie leaves behind his beloved wife, Caroline Bane; his loving daughter, Aimee Hall; his dear sister, Judy Crawley; brother, Barney Bane; and a treasured sister-in-law Connie Robinson

He is preceded in death by his parents Harold Sydney Bane and Clorinda June Bane.

There will be a service of remembrance Saturday, December 14,2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Swansboro, 42 Old Hammock Rd., Swansboro, NC 28584.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to donate.jw.org in recognition of Charlie's lifelong dedication to his faith and well fare of others.

As we mourn the loss of a man who was loved by so many. We also celebrate a life well lived. We know that we will see him again soon with a perfect mind and body. May we all be inspired by Charlie's example to live with generosity, to protect the vulnerable, and to serve with a joyful heart.
