JACKSONVILLE  -  Charles Lawerence Hottenstein, 81, of Jacksonville, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.  Burial, with military honors, will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Mr. Hottenstein was born on July 14, 1943 to the late Charles and Edna Hottenstein. He later joined the United States Marine Corps where he served for 26 and a half years, retiring as a GSgt.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Hottenstein and sisters, Lila, Martha, and Sharon.

He is survived by his children, Vickie Lynn, Robin, Pauline, Susan, Edwin, Walky, and Charles II; brother, Larry and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, November 5, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
