Sneads Ferry – Charles Freddie Roark, 87, of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina passed away on March 30, 2026, at his residence. Graveside services with military honors will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, North Carolina.

Charles was born on March 27, 1939, in Mount Victory, Kentucky to the late Thomas Roark and Ollie Bray Roark. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Eleanore Roark and siblings, Billy Roark, Glen Ray Roark, Joyce Kimble, Norma Ping, and Doris Mozinga.

Charles proudly served in the United States Army in Special Forces, retiring as a Major.

He is survived by his sons, Billy Roark (Crystal) of Sneads Ferry, Ricky Roark (Marilyn) of Fayetteville, and John Roark of Fayetteville; sister, Dee Williamson (Dale) of Mount Victory; 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
