Charles Henry
Scott
November 7, 1952 – June 15, 2026
USMC - Ret. GySgt. Charles H. Scott, Jr. "Chuck", widower of his wife Dianne, father and hero to his three children, Luke, Sara and Michael, grandfather to Dianna, Kaitlyn and Kristen, brother to Susan, Christina and Mary, passed away on the morning of 15JUN26 at approximately 01:47 a.m. His passing was painless, no struggles and peaceful during his sleep.
Chuck was a veteran of the Marine Corp and called Camp LeJeune and Jacksonville his home, the known "center of the universe" and "striving metropolis". He and his wife Dianne raised their three children here and guided them thru through life with the assistance of Infant of Prague church, the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts of America. The goal was simple: make sure their kids had love and support in all they do, so they could become succesful adults in all aspects of life. Luke accomplished goals of marrying Susan and becoming the executive corporate chef for a major restaurant chain. Sara accomplished goals of marrying Marcel and becoming an educator who focuses on special needs children, and they also had one of the familes grandchildren, Dianna, who has recently become married to Nathan. Michael accomplished goals of becoming a small business owner and marrying Kelly, and they brought with them the other two grandchildren, Kaitlyn, who is now engaged to Mickey, and Kristen who has recently become married to Krystian. Chuck is survived by his one remaining sibling, his beloved younger sister Susan, who moved closer to this area after her retirement because she wanted to be closer to her big brother. They spent their days chatting for hours on dads back deck, with her dog Elvis and Dads two cats Eddie and RayRay. This was a true blessing for our family to have Susan join Dad here, in the center of the universe, giving each other strength, companionship and moral support.
The family is growing, as was the plan all along. The future is bright because it was built upon a strong foundation of love, honor and respect, which was started so many years ago, by two people who decided to take a risk and build a family that cherishes and looks out for one another. Thank you Chuck and Dianne, Mom and Dad, for being that foundation for which we all have built our futures on. You will always be remembered, loved and missed, and never forgotten.
