Cherry Adrianna Woods Rhodes, 72 passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Carolina Rivers Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Family of God Church located at 2013 Blue Creek Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540, with Pastor Wayne Hansley and Pastor Ernie King officiating. The family will receive family and friends prior to service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

Cherry was born in Wilmington North Carolina, and she attended Topsail High School. She was a homemaker who loved her dog Bella, her goats, chickens, and gardening and was always willing to put others before herself. Her parents, Furney and Annabelle Woods, passed away before her.

She is survived by her husband of over 20 years; Wendell Rhodes; her brother, Neil Woods; her sons, Robert and Dondo Reyes; her daughter, Heather Scott; Her stepsons, Rodney, Joseph and Bradley Rhodes; her stepdaughters, Wende Blankenship, Kelley Goodson, and Jennifer Taylor; and her 2 "adopted" sons, Adam and Blaine Mattice

Flowers should be delivered to the church before 10 a.m. on the day of the service.
