JACKSONVILLE. -  Cheryl Lee Jenkins Whittaker, 72, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington.  Private services will be held by the family.

Born on December 19, 1947 in Clearwater, FL, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Emma Lee Jenkins.  She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was a member of the New River Congregation in Jacksonville.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Larry Jenkins, Gary Jenkins; and a grandson, Joseph Demchak.

Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Bruce Lee Whittaker of the home; three daughters, Tamara Frati of Jacksonville, Corina Montgomery and husband Roger of Willow Springs, Tiffany Rhodes and husband Davy of Richlands; a son, Christopher Whittaker of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Charles Frati, Nicholas Frati, Bianca Frati, Antonia Anhorn all of Jacksonville, Alyssa Whittaker, Evan Whittaker, both of Richlands, Matthew Kimble of Raleigh, Wesley Kimble and wife Melania of Angier, Amanda Kimble of Denver, CO, Christa Faison and husband Marcus of Leland, Cody Rhodes of Richlands; and great-grandchildren, Natalie Anhorn of Jacksonville, Alston Faison of Leland, and Macon Kimble of Angier.
