Rocky Point, NC – Chesley "Chez" Thompson Jr., formerly of Sneads Ferry, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

A service to celebrate Chez's life will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2024, in the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Ridge. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm immediately before the service at the funeral home.

Chez was born and raised in Onslow County and called Sneads Ferry home for most of his life. He spent over 20 years of his career with Waste Industries as a mechanic and technician. Chez enjoyed simple things in life like enjoying the outdoors while fishing.

Chez was preceded in death by parents, Chesley Sr. and Lola Thompson, as well as his brother, Don Earl Thompson. He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Catherine "Cathy" Thompson; sister, Carol Sue Thompson; and many loving nieces and nephews.
