Christine Julia Genotti Lee-Card, 70, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Crystal Coast Hospice in Newport, surrounded by her loving family.

Christine dedicated 28 years to the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) and many more years to her church and to the Onslow County GOP. She was also a longtime supporter of the Onslow County Republican Women’s Club and other community organizations. She treasured her friendships, especially lunches with her classmates from the JHS Class of 1974.

Above all, Christine loved her family, especially her five children and thirteen grandchildren, who brought her great joy and pride.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Augustus Genotti and Theresa Apichella Houle; her first husband, David G. Lee Sr.; her son, David G. Lee Jr.; her granddaughter, Rose-Charlotte Howard; and her sister, Diana Houle.

She is survived by her husband of seven years, Gregory Card; her uncle and aunt, Joseph and Paulina Apichella of The Villages, Florida; her sister, Janine Houle, of The Villages, Florida; her sons, Leslie E. Howard Jr. (Jody) of Canberra, Australia, and Daniel P. Lee (Elizabeth) of Jacksonville; her daughters, Renee Lee (fiancé, Daniel Jacoby) of Jacksonville and Jennifer A. Guidry (Preston-Lee) of Sneads Ferry; and her grandchildren, Sloane, Lennox-Rose, Jordan, Nora, Connor, Emilie, Isaac, Colby, Gabriel, Elijah, Lucas, Emily, and Madelyn; her brother, Mark Houle (Lynn), of Williston.

The family will receive friends at her wake on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2531 Burgaw Highway, with the Reverend Phillip Shepard officiating. Christine will be laid to rest at 11:00 a.m. at Onslow Memorial Park. A potluck reception will follow at Lighthouse Baptist Church.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported Christine and her family with prayers, visits, calls, messages, flowers, and acts of kindness. Special thanks are extended to the caregivers at Crystal Coast Hospice for their compassionate care and to Joseph and Paulina Apichella for the beautiful flowers from April Showers, arranged by Sheila Huffman.

Christine leaves behind a legacy of service, faith, strength, and love for her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
