JACKSONVILLE  -  Clara Jeanette Raynor, 88, of Jacksonville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 18, 2024 surrounded by her family.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.  Graveside committal services will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.

Jeanette was born February 7, 1936, in Onslow County where she lived with her parents, Mannie and Flora Ottaway; and her sisters, Fannie Ellen and Betty Sue.

Jeanette was survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Sutton Raynor; sons, Dannie (Lesia), Steve (Melodie), and Eric (Heather).  She was "Grandma Net" to eight grandchildren, Chanda, Casey (Brittany), Morgan (Derek), Landon (Caleb), Trace (Erin), Luke (Katie), Nicholas and Isaac; and three great-grandchildren, Shaylyn, Brynlyn and Carter.

Jeanette owned and operated Jeanette's Beauty Shop for 45 years. When she was not working, she loved cooking a big pot of chicken and pastry for her family. Jeanette was a founding member of Angola FWB church where she loved to serve.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, prior to the service, beginning at  12:00 PM at the funeral home.
