SNEADS FERRY - Clyde William Covey, 62 of Sneads Ferry, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at his home.
Memorial funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home, Holly Ridge Chapel with Rev. David Love officiating.

Mr. Covey was born in Detroit Michigan and was the son of the late Robert and Shirley Smith Cavenaugh.

Survivors include one son, Clyde "Billy" Covey, Jr. of Elkhart, IN; two daughters, Sheila Egan of MacClenny, FL and Kelly Pruitt of Howell, MI; four sisters, Joanne Kelly of Iwatutokey, AZ, Nancy Taylor, Judy Smith and Audrey Cavenaugh, all of Holly Ridge; one brother, Bobby Cavenaugh, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon, prior to the service, from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm at the funeral home and other times at the home of Audrey Cavenaugh, 8599 Wilmington Hwy, Holly Ridge.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, at 3131 RDU Center Drive, Morrisville, NC 27560.
