Connie Smith Mitchell, 74, of Jacksonville, NC passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, December 29, 2016, from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Jones Funeral Home,
Ms. Connie was born in Boonsboro, MD and was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Ruth Irene Long Smith. She was employed by Stanadyne Corp. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Herbert Jackson Mitchell, Jr.
She is survived by two sons, Herbert Jackson Mitchell, III and his partner, Daniel of Jacksonville, NC and Dennis C. Smith of Hagerstown, MD; one daughter, Jacqueline I. Hubbard of Jacksonville, NC; one sister, Patricia Young of Hagerstown, MD; three grandchildren, Megan Lawrence, Morgan Lawrence and Olivia Hubbard; five great-grandchildren, Caden Lawrence, MacKenzie Lawrence, LeAnna Lawrence, Jaxsen Hernandez and Cameron Mitchell.
