Kinston – Crystal Diamond Brown, 50, of Kinston, North Carolina passed away on July 20, 2026, at Lenior Memorial Hospital in Kinston. There will be no services at this time.

Crystal was born on August 3, 1975, in Onslow County, North Carolina to James Richard McIntosh and Sadie Parker Guthrie. Her father, James, preceeds her in death.

Crystal was the best nana to her grandbabies they gave her so much joy. Crystal asked her sister Jessica her best friend to take care of her during her sickness and her sister Jessica was honoured and felt very privileged to help and be by her sister’s side. Crystal also loved to drive trucks. Crystal fought a good fight.

She is survived by her sons, Dylan Brown (Logan) of Jacksonville and Evan Brown of Kinston; mother, Sadie Guthrie; siblings, James McIntosh of Rocky Point, Brent Parker (Elizabeth) of Arapahoe, Melissa Gutierrez of Kennansville, and Jessica Strickland (Jamie) of Princeton; and several extended family members and friends.
