Curtis Lynn Smallwood, Sr.

Jacksonville – Curtis Lynn Smallwood, Sr., 37, of Jacksonville, North Carolina left this earth far too soon, on October 1, 2026. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Onslow Memorial Park with Rev. Mark Martin officiating.

Curtis was born on December 11, 1988, in Fairfax, Virginia to Gail Thomas Smallwood and Barbara Clark Smallwood. His father, Gail, preceded him in death and his grandmother, Katie Clark.

He loved everything to do with outdoors hunting, fishing and going out on the boat. He loved his job and loved to take the boys with him to do anything on the farm. He would always be there to lend a hand or the shirt off of his back for anybody. He loved his boys and was the greatest father that any man could be.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Smallwood; children, Curtis Lynn Smallwood, Jr. and Kolton Lynn Smallwood; brothers, Thomas Smallwood (Jenna), Matthew Smallwood (Yolanda), and Donald Smallwood (Juanita); sister, Michelle Smallwood (Dustin); and several nieces, nephews, extended families The Williams, Goodson, Foy and White’s , and close friends.

The family will receive friends on October 8, 2026, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Those wishing to attend the graveside service should meet at the cemetery at 3:00 PM.
