Hubert- Daniel Rivera, 82, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 27,2024 with his family by his side. He was born June 25,1942 in Temple, TX a son of the late Agapito and Mercedez Rocha Rivera.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Swansboro. Burial to follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery; The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Jones Funeral Home.

Daniel faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps and retired at the rank of MGySgt. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Mailei Murzyn of the home; son, Russell "Russ" Rivera (Whitney) of Idaho; and grandchildren, Thomas Murzyn of Hubert, Tucker Crowell of Idaho, and Poppy Rivera of Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Christina Rivera and a son, Daniel David Rivera.

Following the service there will be a reception at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, 300 Brynn Marr Road, Jacksonville, NC 28546.
