JACKSONVILLE  -  Danny Duane Blasdell, 69, of Jacksonville, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center in Wilmington. Graveside funeral services, with military honors, will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Mr. Blasdell was born April 30, 1955 in Flint, Michigan to the late Elben Blasdell and Fern Peever Blasdell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janet.

After obtaining his GED, Danny enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he honorably and proudly served his country until retiring as a Master Gunnery Sergeant.

He is survived by his children, Christopher Blasdell and Angel Blasdell, both of Jacksonville, NC; grandson, Dakota Lee and special friends, Ben and Debbie of Jacksonville, NC as well as extended family and friends.
