Swansboro- Danny Joe Collins, 79, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 7, 2026, with his wife by his side. He was born April 24, 1947, in Plant City, FL a son to the late Louis Cannon and Almeda Nayman Collins.

He will be inurned at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.

Danny faithfully served his country in the US Navy and retired at the rank of Lieutenant. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who greatly enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Tina Collins of the home; sons, Will Collins of TN and Scott Collins (Irem) of FL; and grandsons, Sean (Sabrina), Matthew, and Jack.

He was preceded in death by his siblings.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
