CAPE CARTERET  -  Darrell Dawson, 91, of Cale Carteret, passed away peacefully Monday, November, 11, 2024 at his home. A graveside celebration of Darrell's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Seaside Memorial Park in Swansboro.

Born on August 27, 1933, in Orange County, NC to the late Arthur and Elsie Wilson Dawson.

Mr. Dawson served his country with honor in the U.S. Army before embarking on a long career in the printing industry, retiring as the manager of the printing department at Burroughs Wellcome in the Research Triangle Park. Known for his warm spirit and dedicated work ethic, Darrell was an avid traveler and could often be found in his workshop, where he enjoyed creating and working on various projects. Above all, he cherished time spent with family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Rosa Stanley Dawson, of the home; his son, Chris Dawson, and his wife, Hanane Dawson, of London, England; and his sister, Elise Dodson, of Chapel Hill.
