HUBERT  -  David Bennett Newton, 79, of Hubert, passed away Saturday, March 1,2025 at his home.  A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Mr. Newton was born October 7,1945 in Long Island, NY to the late Everett and Phebe Bennett Newton.

He was a school custodian in NY and loved to interact with the students and staff but his greatest joy was being surrounded by his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Heidi Newton; brothers, Richard Newton and James Scott; and a grandson, Travis Anderson.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Anderson Newton of the home; children, Kenneth Anderson (Amy) of Hubert, David Everett of Fl, Angela Newton of CA, Jamie Newton of NY, and Frank Anderson of Hubert; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and a sister, Deborah Hermann of FL.

One of David's favorite things to do was to go fishing; so in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Take a Kid Fishing Inc..
