David Hoang Nguyen, 26, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, while serving in the United States Air Force in Alaska.  Born March 8, 1999, in Oakland, CA, to Calvin Kem Nguyen and Tanya Marie Nguyen.

David honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force as Staff Sergeant, demonstrating both dedication and courage throughout his service.  He was stationed in Hawaii, Virginia, Jordan, and Alaska during his military career.

David was known for his kind and generous spirit.  He enjoyed fishing, tending to his plants, and baking, often sharing his culinary creations with his family and fellow friends/coworkers. In his leisure time, he loved playing video games and watching anime.  His warmth and generosity genuinely touched the lives of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and fellow service members.

He is survived by his parents, Calvin Kem Nguyen and Lien Tran of Sneads Ferry, NC; siblings, Philip Nguyen, Angelina Nguyen, Quang Phan, Kaitlynn Nguyen, Vy Phan, Nathaniel Nguyen, Marianne Nguyen, and Johannah Michel.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, from Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until 11:00 am before the service.
