In Loving Memory of Dean Allen Martin

January 14, 1961 – June 2, 2025

Dean Allen Martin, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on January 14, 1961 in Oak Hill, West Virginia, Dean lived a life full of heart, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the simple, meaningful things.

Raised on the family farm in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Dean developed a lifelong connection to the land. He found peace in the slow, steady rhythm of country life. Dean's heart was always at home on the farm.

A proud Navy veteran, Dean served his country with honor and commitment for 20 years. His years in the service shaped him into a man of integrity and discipline.

Dean was never happier than when he was outdoors—tinkering with old cars, fixing up boats, or simply enjoying spending time outside. His hands were rarely still. Whether elbow-deep in grease or casting a fishing line, Dean found joy in life's simplest pleasures. Dean's favorite things in life were striking up conversations with anyone he met, playfully razzing friends and strangers alike, and satisfying his legendary sweet tooth with a treat in hand.

Dean is survived by his brother, Kelly Martin, his daughters, Barbara Martin and Emily Bourdon, and his cherished grandchildren, Anastasia, Andromeda, and Eloise. He loved his family fiercely and found his greatest pride and joy in watching them grow.

Dean will be remembered for his steady hands, open heart, and deep roots. His spirit will forever live on in the quiet country roads, the laughter of his grandchildren, and the enduring values he passed on to those who loved him most.

A small celebration of life will be held on the family estate, where friends and loved ones will gather to remember Dean and the lasting impact of a life well lived.
