Swansboro- Dexter Wendell Barlow, 74, passed away Friday, May 9,2025 at his home with his family by his side. He was born July 16,1950, in Onslow County, NC, the son of the late Wendell and Alma Morton Barlow.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 16,2025 at 10:30AM at St. Mildred Catholic Church with Father Dave Miller officiating. Burial will follow at 12:00PM at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 15,2025 from 6-8:00PM at Jones Funeral Home-Swansboro.

Dexter served his country in the US Air Force and then began a career as a civil servant. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Anna Alvarez Barlow of the home; son, Richard and Samantha Barlow of Raleigh; daughter, Andrea and Christopher Paul of Morehead City; grandchildren, Ella Carmen, Madelyn, and Jackson Barlow; and siblings, Arthur Barlow and Lillian Boyle both of Swansboro.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Barlow.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
